Attitude

He arrives at his staff meeting looking and sounding like hell broke loose. What on earth might have happened? An argument with the spouse? A teenage son or daughter out of control? An outrageous speeding or parking ticket? Whatever happened, his negative attitude will immediately affect the rest of the team and undermine the importance of the actual meeting. It is a well-known fact that whatever the leader oozes is contagious and contaminates the rest of the team. A frown begets a frown and a smile begets a smile. A strong, mature leader smiles when addressing his staff no matter what is troubling his heart. He keeps work, family and whatever else separate and knows how to conquer his emotions…and is therefore able to control his worst enemy: Himself.
